A story By Dummy..

You were around two weeks old when I first gave you a dummy, from the start you were pretty keen and your journey with dummies began....

They were a huge comfort and helped you get through your short stay in hospital when you were admitted for pyloric stenosis at six weeks old.

 

They of course were one of the things that helped you drift off to sleep and calm you down when you were tired or cranky...

Yep, for almost two years, dummies were a very good friend of yours (and mummy & daddy!)



You made them look cool in your own kinda way!



They helped your patience when mummy made you do a blogging related craft activity!

And kept you company whilst walking on our first family holiday

Even the dummy was chosen over chocolate on  your first Easter!



 

 

 And again this year, your dummy helped comfort you when you spent the night in hospital after a febrile convulsion.

 

For almost two years, dummies were a big part of your life but one day mummy decided it was time for the dummies to go. I knew you would be ok without your dummy, the time was just right. I was aware there might have been difficult times and times I would be tempted to give you a dummy but you were a star!

Its been three months since you had a dummy, you really are a grown up boy!

Summer Sale HAUL

Over the past couple of weeks I've been doing some summer sale shopping. I picked up one thing for me and everything else was for Mr Eliot! I bought goodies from Gap, Mothercare, Clarks, Cath Kidston, Joules & M&S. These days I get WAY more excited about buying stuff for Eliot than I do for myself!

Eliot's 2nd Birthday

Last week my boy turned two, I know we all say it but I really don't know where the time has gone! He has changed so much over the past six months and looks more like a three year old than a two year old. I need to do an update which I've started but need to finish...in the meantime here are a few photos from his special day. We spent the morning chilling and playing with presents before heading to Woburn Safari Park for a Birthday trip!

Moving Update & Ikea

Some of you will already know we sold our flat back in August and had lots of disappointments when   searching for our new home but we got there after what felt like a lifetime. As usual though with moving not everything goes to plan and I've shared our update in my most recent vlog.
On Saturday we headed to Ikea for the afternoon to browse for furniture ideas and came away with lots of ideas. One of which is that I am definitely getting a dressing table! Our nearest Ikea is currently in Croydon and it was decked out with Christmas displays and homware which felt very festive indeed!

#VEDA 2014

So at the last minute I decided to attempt VEDA ( vlog every day in August). I will be mostly using my phone for the vids as it should be easier to to the whole thing. That means there won't really be any editing but I know it won't be possible for me to vlog, edit and get a video uploaded everyday using my camera.

Baby/Toddler Boy Clothes Haul

Eliot was a very lucky boy on his 1st Birthday and received lovely gifts from family and friends. I've done a vlog to share the clothes that he was bought...I love a clothes haul! I'm totally 'vlog bombed by one of my city kitties, Coco!
